When it comes to chickens, we go the eggstra mile

Our girls have a great life! Unlike many free-range hens, ours spend their days out in the fresh air, only heading into their mobile hen house to roost at night or lay their eggs. We move them regularly around our green pastures, so there’s always a new spot to explore, scratch and forage for a fresh supply of insects and greens.
All that outdoor living and natural snacking makes for deep yellow yolks, packed with nutrients and great flavour. No shortcuts, no artificial additives, just a happy, healthy diet.

Good for chickens
Hens are curious, busy little characters. To keep them happy and healthy, we make sure they have plenty of room to explore - whether that’s scratching for worms, chasing a beetle, or exploring a fresh patch of clover. We only rear traditional breeds, because we value quality of life over quantity of eggs. Our girls live a long, slow, and healthy life, rather than being burnt out after just a year of laying like most commercial breeds.
Our green pastures and mobile hen house are the secret to how we farm. By moving the flock to fresh ground regularly, the hens always have a clean, green carpet under their feet. This keeps them away from the parasites that build up in stationary pens, meaning our girls stay naturally hardy without us needing to reach for the medicine bottle.

Good for the land
Our hens are part of a natural cycle. As they roam, moved every few days, they fertilise the soil and keep pests in check. Keeping them moving like this means that our green pastures thrive - no sandy dust bowls. It’s farming that gives back to the land, boosting biodiversity one scratch at a time.
We also care about the land which produces feed for our hens which is why we choose feed that is non-soya and better for the environment.
Good for you
You are what you eat, and the same goes for our hens. By foraging for a natural diet of worms, greens, and insects, our girls produce eggs that are full of nutrients and flavour. Moving them to fresh pasture every few days doesn't just keep the land thriving - it ensures their yolks are a deep, vibrant orange and packed with the vitamins and Omega-3s that only come from a life lived outdoors.
Vitamin A
Crucial for vision, skin health, and immune function.
Vitamin D
Plays a vital role in supporting immune function, bone health, and calcium absorption.
Vitamin E
A powerful antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage.

Our eggs also have 2-3 times more omega-3 fatty acids which are essential for brain health and heart health, as well as for reducing inflammation.
